City & Guilds VRQ Hairdressing Level Three students gathered in the Falkirk Campus salon for a morning of celebrations recently as they marked the end of their course with a special graduation ceremony.

The group - consisting of 14 students - who have spent the last year refining their skills and working with real clients in the commercial salon, were presented with certificates and awards in front of their lecturers, family and classmates.

Lisa Williamson the representative from Wella joined the event to deliver a presentation and offer advice and inspiration as they prepare to take their next steps into the hairdressing Industry. Wella also generously sponsored the graduation with amazing goody bags full of Wella products for each student.

Lecturer Nicky Mackenzie said: “My colleagues and I in the Hair and Beauty Department are always delighted to see students complete their course and get ready to move into their career. They’ve all worked really hard to get through their assessments this year and we are all extremely proud of every one of them.”

The event rounded off a rewarding year for the students, many of whom now plan to move into salon work or start their own businesses.
