Grangemouth mural project completed

Thursday 6th August 2026

Professional artist and one of Forth Valley College’s Additional Support Worker’s has once again created an impressive piece of public art – this time in Grangemouth.

David Crossley recently put his public art creative talent to good use by spray painting a design for one of the statues on Glasgow’s Maggie’s Scottie Dog Trail charity summer visitor attraction.

However, now in a collaboration with fellow artist Donna Forrester and the Inchyra Community Park, he has just completed a town centre gable end design to help tell the story of Grangemouth.

David, who is based mainly in the Stirling Campus, said: “I was approached by Adam Gillies of the Inchyra Community Park, who asked if I would be interested in collaborating with Donna Forrester a mural artist they engaged with previously. Yes, was the answer the murals were to tell a story of Grangemouth. We chose to represent the past and the future. After much research and drawing we had to present the designs that were then put out to a public vote. The two that won the vote are now in place for all to see.”

The Scottie Dogs on the Glasgow City art trail is open until 16 August and each Scottie on the trail is unique, designed and painted by talented artists and sponsored by local businesses. For more information visit https://scottiesinthecity.co.uk/
