Forth Valley College Hosts VTCT Skills Hair & Barbering Collective LIVE 2025

Forth Valley College was proud to host the first stop of the VTCT Skills Hair & Barbering Collective LIVE 2025 Tour at its Falkirk Campus recently, bringing together some of the most inspiring names in the industry for a day of creativity, learning, and innovation.

The event marked the exciting return of The Collective LIVE for 2025/26, promising to be bigger and better than ever, with live demonstrations, expert presentations, and interactive sessions.

Attendees had the unique opportunity to connect with leading professionals and discover the latest trends shaping the future of hair and barbering.

Industry icons taking part in the event included:

  • OSMO - Global Educator Lesley Stitt and Brand Ambassador Jude Taylor showcased bold colour and cutting-edge styling techniques
  • Cloud Nine - Group Education Manager Marie Nieuwoudt led the Student Spotlight, offering mentoring and insights for emerging talent
  • Ergonomics United - Artistic Team Director Heather Robertson demonstrated how comfort and precision can transform your craft
    The Great British Barber Bash - Educator Brandyn Murphy and Creative Lead of Education Brodie Raeside provided live demos sharing their tricks of the trade.

Students from the College’s VTCT SVQ Level 3 Hairdressing course were thrilled to take part in the event, gaining hands-on experience, networking with industry leaders, and learning new techniques to support their future careers. They also played an important role in planning and preparations ahead of the event. Those involved included; Natasha Menzies; Shannon Johnston; Sophie Vernel; Alana Gallacher; and Abigail Sergenson.
