Community Invited to Alloa Campus Open Evening

Wednesday 1st April 2026

An Open Evening to promote and showcase what Forth Valley College’s Alloa Campus has to offer will be held on Wednesday 22 April.

The event has been organised to highlight the courses and facilities the campus can provide, especially after the welcome news that its future has been secured for at least the 2026/27 academic year.

Representatives from the College’s teaching departments and Apprenticeships, Commercial and Skills Team will be on hand from 4.30pm - 7.00pm, to offer advice and guidance on the wide range of courses available including full-time courses, Partnership Degrees with Scotland’s leading universities, Modern Apprenticeships, Foundation Apprenticeships, evening courses, business training courses and flexible learning programmes, available across all campuses.

In addition, support teams are available to offer careers advice and answer questions on funding, learning support and applying to college. The Open Evening also serves as a great opportunity for potential students, their families and the wider Clackmannanshire community to get a look around FVC’s fantastic Alloa Campus building and facilities, and meet the teams face to face, who can help them make an informed decision about which course is right for them.

The College are also looking for potential students who hope to come along to the events, to register prior to attending. Anyone interested can do so here: https://FVCAlloaOpenEveningApril2026.eventbrite.co.uk

Kenny MacInnes, Principal of Forth Valley College said: “Following the welcome news that our Alloa Campus will be secured for at least another year, we are determined to show what an excellent facility it is and how important it is for Alloa and the wider Clackmannanshire community.

“We are encouraging as many potential students, their parents, families and friends  - as well as members of the public keen on a tour – to come along on Wednesday 22 April to rediscover what the Alloa Campus can offer, and help us make an even stronger case to secure its long term future.

“Our open evenings offer a fantastic opportunity for people to find out about the different options available to them – whether they’re interested in a mainstream course, finding out about Modern Apprenticeship vacancies currently on offer, thinking about studying for a Foundation Apprenticeship while still at school or pursuing a degree.

“These events are also really useful if you’re considering applying to college, but have questions surrounding student finance or the application process for example – and they’re also an excellent opportunity to find out what qualifications employers are looking for. We look forward to welcoming you all at our Alloa Campus Open Evening.”
