HND Events Management first year student Molli Robb gained valuable industry experience this summer after securing a role with EveryStage at the Commonwealth Games Scotland 2026.
Molli (21) from Falkirk worked as a Venue Engagement Coordinator at the Kelvingrove Park Live Site, one of the Games' fan zones where visitors could watch the sporting action on large screens while taking part in a range of interactive activities. These included taster sessions in sports such as judo, boxing, basketball and cycling, with support from professional athletes and medal winners.
Reflecting on her experience, Molli, who is pictured here front right, said: "I had an amazing time working at the Commonwealth Games. It has opened up a lot of great opportunities for me and was the best job I've ever had. The team were fantastic to work with, and I'd like to thank Neil, EveryStage and Forth Valley College for their support in helping me secure this opportunity."
Paul Cunningham, Curriculum Manager for Hospitality, Events and Tourism at Forth Valley College, added: "It's great to see Molli representing the College at such a high-profile event and putting into practice the knowledge and skills she has developed during her studies. Opportunities like this provide invaluable real-world experience and help prepare our students for successful careers in the events industry.
“Molli's success demonstrates the exciting opportunities available to students studying Events Management at Forth Valley College, where industry engagement and practical experience are at the heart of the learning experience.”
