Forth Valley College’s Skills Transition Centre (STC) has been named as a finalist for a prestigious Go Award 2026/27.
The STC has been shortlisted for the Excellence in Social Value Award category and will discover if it has been successful at a special ceremony to be held in the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on Monday 26 October.
The GO Awards Scotland – supported by the Scottish Government – celebrate the very best in public procurement and are open to public sector organisations and organisations working in partnership with a public sector body. From breakthrough projects to outstanding individuals, they recognise the people and organisations driving innovation, value and positive change across Scotland.
The Excellence in Social Value Award recognises organisations that use procurement to deliver meaningful social, economic and environmental impact. It also recognises organisations that have gone beyond compliance to make social value a genuine driver of procurement decisions and outcomes. It celebrates those who have designed procurement activity to deliver measurable benefits for communities, local economies, the environment, and underrepresented groups – and who can demonstrate that those benefits are real, additional and sustained.
Kenny MacInnes, Principal of Forth Valley College, said: “We are very proud of our new Skills Transition Centre and what it has to offer and we are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. Well done to everyone involved. The annual Go Awards showcase examples of best practise across the country and for us to be in contention for a top award this year is great recognition of the work we do.”
