Award winning Forth Valley College Evening Cass tutor and author Tom Christie, will be presenting a Christmas lecture about his book "A Seriously Groovy Movie Christmas" in the King Street Aparthotel in Stirling, on Friday 12 December at 2pm.
Tom - who has written 22 books, runs Extremis Publishing with his sister Julie and also teaches the very popular 'Writing For Publication' course at the FVC Stirling Campus (which is currently recruiting for a new run in February https://www.forthvalley.ac.uk/courses/creative-industries/writing-for-publication-evening) - will be talking about the surreal and often hilarious festive cinema of the 1960s and 1970s, at what promises to be an entertaining afternoon in the run up to Christmas.
This illustrated presentation at King Street Aparthotel, 45 King Street, will see all proceeds from tickets being donated directly to forthgiving - a local philanthropic charity supporting people living in crisis throughout the Forth Valley area, where Tom also serves as their Secretary to the Board.
There will also be a Q&A session following the presentation, and copies of Tom's books will be available for sale with the author being happy to sign any that are purchased. More information on Extremis Publishing can be found here: www.extremispublishing.com
