Book Week Scotland 2025

Monday 17th November 2025

Funding from the Scottish Book Trust has allowed us to organise a range of exciting events for staff and students across all campuses during Book Week Scotland 2025 (17–23 November).

Our events include:

Tom Foster – Comic Book Artist Talk and Workshop
Join renowned professional comic book artist Tom Foster at our Stirling Campus on Friday 21 November from 2pm – 3pm in the Kildean Suite.

Currently drawing for 2000AD and The Judge Dredd Megazine, Tom will deliver an engaging talk, live drawing demonstration, and interactive workshop where participants can develop their own creative skills. He’ll also host a Q&A session to round off the event.

Tom will also be delivering in-class activities at our Alloa Campus the following week (date to be confirmed).

Katie White – Author and Screenwriter Workshop: ‘Scottish Stories’
Professional author, screenwriter and former FVC staff member Katie White will return to our Falkirk Campus on Thursday 20 November from 9am - 11am in the Antonine Suite, focusing this year on ‘Scottish Stories’.

Katie will explore the theme ‘When COVID shut us down in Central Scotland...where were you, who were you with, what happened and so on’.

We encourage creative responses through writing, poetry, art, music - or however you express yourself best. All submissions will be brought together in a special anthology of the day’s discussions.
