This course aims to provide an introduction to the practical and theoretical aspects of sport and fitness related studies and will equip the learner with the knowledge to make an informed decision on their future career path by assisting and reviewing other coaches.
Progression to further study would be on to a higher level sport or fitness related course.

Progression
Entry requirements
Mandatory:
- Attendance at a group based course information and Q&A session.
- Clear Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check required. Further information on the PVG Scheme will be issued to successful applicants prior to enrolment.
- Strong interest and current participation within Sport & Fitness related activities
Plus one of the following:
- Two National 4 awards (or equivalent) preferably English and PE.
Additional Requirements:
- All students will be expected to purchase materials required for course study including practical activity clothing

• If your application is successful, you will be invited for interview. For January start courses interviews will be in Nov/Dec and interviews for August start courses will take place between February and May
• If your application is unsuccessful, you will be offered support in finding a suitable alternative course
• Applicants who provide a mobile phone number on their application form will be sent a text reminder prior to the day of interview
