STEM Summer Club

Forth Valley College’s STEM Summer School is a hugely popular activity for young people aged 12-14 years.  Since it began in 2016, more than 90 young people have taken part in a range of STEM learning activities and had an opportunity to achieve the Crest Bronze Award – which is a fantastic outcome.

In 2017, INEOS became the main sponsor of the STEM Summer School at our Falkirk Campus which includes a site visit to INEOS HQ in Grangemouth, providing young people with an invaluable insight into STEM careers.

The STEM Summer Club 2024 will follow a similar format to previous years and will run from 5-9 August at our Falkirk Campus. Topics such as Climate Change, Net Zero and Renewable Energy will continue to be a focus for the activities and project work. Pupils will take part in hands on projects and experiments, and work with mentor and lecturer support to complete a 10 hour Bronze Crest Award project.
