Hospitality & Rural Skills

Aimed at young people aged 16-24 with additional support needs in the rural Stirlingshire area, this project aims to open the door to local hospitality and rural employers who have difficulty recruiting and retaining staff, to offer young people experience and opportunities to progress to sustainable work.

We will ensure travel is not a barrier, by working with employers and local transport to enable young people to attend college and employment opportunities whilst they are on the course, and ensuring a sustainable mode of travel is attained for future work if required.

Each young person will have the opportunity to gain valuable industry qualifications, as well as learning new skills they may not have had the opportunity to try before, such as rural skills, outdoor pursuits and learning about sustainable tourism.

This course is not currently available to apply for through our website, however, you can still apply by contacting jennifer.murtha@forthvalley.ac.uk.
