HND Make-Up Artistry: TV, Film & Theatre
This exciting and innovative course allows participants to develop skills for the media and make-up industries. Students will develop skills in basic and advanced make-up application techniques in conjunction with applied hairdressing skills and wig dressing methods. Candidate's work will be showcased through the production of portfolios, on-going assessments and work experience.

Entry requirements
One of the following:
- SVQ Level 3 or NC Level 6 Beauty Therapy
- SVQ or VRQ Level 3 Hairdressing
- 2 Highers or equivalent including attendance at an Introduction to Higher Education workshop prior to the commencement of the course. Dates will be confirmed at interview
- NC Level 6 Make-up Artistry
- Applicants who do not meet these criteria, but have relevant experience or alternative qualifications will be considered
Additional Requirements:
- Students will be required to purchase a kit for each year of the programme as well as uniforms and portfolios
- Students must be prepared to work out of College hours for work experience, when required
- Selection will be by interview and task
- Due to Sector Skills Council regulations candidates must be 16 years old by 01 September 2026. There is no flexibility on this date as this would breach Health and Safety legislation
- Attendance at an Introduction to Higher Education workshop prior to the commencement of the course. Dates will be confirmed at interview
