HND Beauty Therapy

This course is designed to give students a professional qualification recognised by the beauty industry. Students will develop skills in relation to a wide range of facial, body and complementary therapies. They will also gain in-depth product knowledge and be able to offer clients lifestyle advice. Other topics covered include make-up for special occasions and spa treatments. As part of the programme, students get the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience through working in the College’s commercial salon.

  • Year 1 of a related degree course

One of the following:

  • NC Beauty Care (Level 6)
  • SVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must be at least 17 years of age
  • Selection will be by interview and a research task
  • Students will be required to purchase relevant items of equipment and clothing

• If your application is successful, you will be invited for interview. For January start courses interviews will be in Nov/Dec and interviews for August start courses will take place between February and May
• If your application is unsuccessful, you will be offered support in finding a suitable alternative course
