This course is for young people from S4 (starting in August 2026) with English as a Second Language.
We are able to support young people at a range of levels from level 3,4,5 and 6 or those who are looking to work towards an SQA exam at National 5 or higher.
Young people from all over the local authority are able to come together and gain confidence whilst working alongside others with similar shared experiences.
This course will run on Tuesday & Thursday 1.50pm - 3.50pm at Alloa
This course will run on Tuesday & Thursday 1.50pm - 3.50pm at Falkirk
This course will run on Friday 9.00am - 12.00pm for levels 5 & 6 or 9.00am - 10.50am for levels 3 & 4 at Stirling
Enrolment onto this course is made through referrals from the school, so please contact your Support for Learning department for more details.
Content
- Young people will work towards an SQA National 4, 5 or Higher award.
- They will work towards every day and academic language, with an emphasis on National awards.
- They are also given a chance to take part in college activities and ca be supported to apply for other college courses or suitable opportunities.
