ESOL for Life, Work and Study Level 4 (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
This course is for students whose first language is not English and are looking to gain further skills and a recognised qualification at SCQF Level 4.
In this course you will have the opportunity to develop skills in:
- General ESOL
- ESOL for Work
- ESOL for Study
This course is suitable for those wishing to enter employment or study and will look at academic and employment language, as well as employment law, and further study opportunities.
This course is SCQF Level 4 and it is recommended that students will have already gained an SCQF Level 3 ESOL qualification, however all students will be invited to a level assessment before interview selection.

Entry requirements
Entry is at the discretion of the centre, it is recommended that candidates have an SCQF level 3 ESOL qualification or equivalent, or have successfully completed a diagnostic test at that level.
- FVC ESOL level assessment
- SQA ESOL Level 3 or equivalent
- Residency check
- Payment of Fees if Required

• If your application is unsuccessful, you will be offered support in finding a suitable alternative course
