HNC Engineering: Fabrication Welding

This advanced course provides students with a wide range of knowledge and skills required for fabrication, welding and inspection relevant to the mechanical, manufacture, process, oil and gas and alternative energy industries.

The objective of the programme is to provide a broad understanding of fabrication, welding and Inspection technologies.

In addition, it develops organisational skills, leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Fabrication Welding and Inspection: Graded Unit 1

  •  Fabrication, Welding and Inspection in the Mechanical, Manufacture, Process, Oil and Gas and Alternative Energy industries

  •  On successful completion of this course, students may progress onto a career in the fabrication, welding and inspection industry. 

  • Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering
  • Successful completion of a relevant National Qualification at Level 6
  • Applicants who do not meet these criteria, but have relevant experience or alternative qualifications will be considered

• If your application is successful, you will be invited for interview. For January start courses interviews will be in Nov/Dec and interviews for August start courses will take place between February and May
• If your application is unsuccessful, you will be offered support in finding a suitable alternative course
