ECITB Scholarship - Mechanical
The Engineering Construction Training Board (ECITB) has developed a new scholarship course in Mechanical Engineering. It will include Industry talks, employer visits and work placements. Candidates will be supported throughout by both ECITB and Forth Valley College (FVC) staff to enhance their opportunities to progress onto employment in the engineering industry. There will be a weekly training allowance to support candidates on this programme.
- Completing this qualification can lead to a range of career options.
- Those who wish to stay in engineering construction can develop their skills further, through additional qualifications and apprenticeships in their selected craft discipline at Level 3.
- This course will prepare candidates for entry into a Modern Apprenticeship in Fabrication & Welding/Mechanical Qualification or as a direct hire employee in the engineering industry.
- Applicants must have National 5's in English, Maths (desirable) and Science or Technical subject (desirable).

- Disclosing support needs in your application will not affect your chances of being offered a place on a course at Forth Valley College
- If your application is successful, you will be invited for interview. For January start courses interviews will be in Nov/Dec and interviews for August start courses will take place between February and May
- If your application is unsuccessful, you will be offered support in finding a suitable alternative course
- Applicants who provide a mobile phone number on their application form will be sent a text reminder prior to the day of interview
