ECITB Scholarship

This 6-month course will be delivered at our Falkirk Campus, five days per week from January 2024 to June 2024.

The Engineering Construction Training Board (ECITB) has developed a new scholarship course in plating and pipefitting. It will include Industry talks, employer visits and work placements. Candidates will be supported throughout by both ECITB and Forth Valley College (FVC) staff to enhance their opportunities to progress onto employment in the engineering industry. There will be a weekly training allowance to support candidates on this programme.

· ECITB Level 2 Diploma in Supporting the Installation of Engineering Construction Plant and Systems (RQF), Plating and Pipefitting Pathway

· Supporting Net Zero

· Behavioural Based Safety

· ECITB Digital Passport

· ECITB Pre-employment Programme (includes the CCNSG Safety Passport)

Career Paths

Completing this qualification can lead to a range of further career options. Those who wish to stay in engineering construction can develop their skills further, through additional qualifications and apprenticeships in their selected craft discipline at Level 3.

Progression

This course will prepare candidates for entry into the 1st year of a Modern Apprenticeship in Fabrication & Welding Qualification or as a direct hire employee in the engineering industry.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have National 4's in English, Maths (desirable) and Science or Technical subject (desirable).

Applicants must also be 17+ years old to apply.
