Studio Sound Production - Evening
Interested in getting the most out of your recording - perhaps as part of a band, your own solo work, for home recording or even for specialist sound design? This introductory course will give you a hands-on starter on the workings of a modern recording studio. Working with a specialist member of staff to identify the skills you most want to pick up, you will be introduced to planning, setting-up, recording and editing within a studio environment, as well as getting the chance to try your hand at recording some of your work.
This course will be delivered on Thursday evenings.
- This course is aimed at those wishing to progress their knowledge and skills in the techinques of the modern recording studio.
- No formal entry requirements, although some experience in basic sound recording would be an advantage.
Course places are only secured after payment/funding has been arranged.
As per the College Tuition Fees and Refund Policy, tuition fees are non-refundable except under exceptional circumstances. Refunds will only be given if the course is cancelled or significantly altered by the College. Refer to our Tuition Fee and Withdrawal Procedure Information on the College website.
Student Paying Fees
Fees of less than £100 must be paid in full. Payment by instalment is available, provided the course fee is greater than £100. You can access a direct debit form here.
An initial 30% deposit is required in order to secure your place. Instalments can be paid via direct debit over the duration of the course, up to a maximum of a 4-month period. You will not be able to apply online if paying by direct debit, please contact Evening Admissions - firstname.lastname@example.org.
Employer Paying Fees
If your employer is paying for your tuition fees, an Employer Agreement Form or letter from your employer must be submitted prior to or upon enrolment. You can access the Employer Agreement Form here and this should be returned to Evening Admissions - email@example.com
Important Information for all non UK nationals
The College has a requirement to complete a residency check on all non-UK nationals for tuition fee purposes. When you book and pay for your course online, please be aware that you will be contacted by a member of our Student Administration team and asked to provide documents i.e. a copy of your passport; proof of your settlement status and EU share code.
Following assessment of evidence, if you do not meet the criteria for ‘home fee status’, you will contacted and advised of any additional fee required.

If you are currently living in the UK then you should have already applied for the EU Settlement Scheme which will allow you to continue living in the UK.
From 1st January 2021, if you are a national of a country outwith the UK it is most likely you will need a visa to study in the UK.
