Digital Skills for Employability - Online
This flexible online self-study course has been designed to provide learners with a convenient and accessible way to develop their knowledge and skills at their own pace.
Suitable for a wide range of learners, the course can be used as an introduction for those who are new to the subject, as a support resource alongside a full-time programme of study, or as a refresher for individuals wishing to update or reinforce their existing knowledge.
Learners can choose to work through the modules sequentially to build knowledge step by step or focus on specific topics that are most relevant to their interests or learning needs. The course is delivered entirely online through Moodle and is designed to fit around work, study and personal commitments.
Applicants for this course must reside in Scotland.

- Digital Project Coordination - how digital technologies can support planning, communication and task management
- Digital Content Creation - producing and sharing professional digital content
- Data and Accessibility - effective management of information and creating accessible content for diverse audiences
- Digital Workplace Efficiency - identifying tools and strategies that improve productivity and workflow management
- Remote Work and Collaboration - best practice for working effectively within virtual and hybrid teams
- E-Commerce and Online Safety - online business activities, essential cyber security and digital safety principles
- Common File Formats - overview of the file types commonly used in the workplace and how to select, share and manage them effectively
Throughout the programme, learners engage with interactive activities, practical examples and opportunities for reflection, enabling them to build confidence in applying digital skills in both educational and professional environments.
