Progression
Many of our learners prefer to study at college before progressing onto university. University, for some, can be daunting if you are going straight from school or if you are returning to education after a long time away. Attending college allows a smooth transition, enabling you to build up your confidence whilst increasing your skills and knowledge within smaller class and campus environments.
If you choose to progress to university, the subjects you study on our programme provides you with a broad range of skills equipping you well for when the time is right for you. It also gives the benefit of you attaining qualifications for discrete years of study. Going straight to university and exiting after year 1 or 2 gives no formal qualification. College can offer an excellent bridge between school and university.
Entry requirements
Open to S6 pupils, you will have achieved one of the following:
- Two Higher Grades at C or above in a relevant subject area (such as English, Business, Admin, Maths, Modern Studies etc). Higher Administration and IT is strongly recommended.
- OR Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Skills
- Applicants whose first language is not English should hold an appropriate ESOL qualification
