    The Art & Design: Portfolio Preparation Course is an exciting and intensive one year programme designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to create an outstanding Portfolio for further studies in Art & Design.

    The course will also develop the critical and research skills necessary for advanced level study in this field. In addition to portfolio building, students will have the opportunity to develop appropriate levels of communication, creativity, interpersonal skills and independent working skills within a supportive environment that can lead to advanced level study.

    You will be guided by experienced and passionate lecturers within a supportive environment with state of the art facilities.

    Students will study SQA Units at Level 6/7 on this course.

    Impress your family and friends with hand-crafted breads, fancy pastries and colourful cakes. This course is a perfect follow-up for anyone who has already taken the Artisan Bakery evening class and would like to further develop their skills. 

    This course is suitable for applicants aged 16 or over.

  • BA (Hons) Digital Media (University of Stirling)

    This multimedia course is designed to support students who wish to pursue a career in the vibrant, fast paced media industry. Students will develop skills across a range of media specialisms including television, film, radio, print and online.

    They will explore the tools, applications and industry practice of the digital environment, creating content and sharing it across a range of platforms.  With a strong focus on practical skills the course will also develop an in-depth understanding of ethical and legal considerations of working within the media industry.

    The programme combines the technical and theoretical media skills and industry insights of the Forth Valley College staff team, with the advanced academic training and up-to-date digital expertise of the University of Stirling.

    The first two years of this course is delivered at our Stirling Campus.

    During the first two years, there will be regular transition sessions at the University of Stirling.

    Please note, we offer this course for Year One or Year Two entry.
