Fabrication and Welding Modern Apprentice Josh McKenna (18) from Falkirk thinks that the facilities at the College are perfect to help a student to learn and grow.
Josh, who was recently announced as a Scottish Engineering Apprentice of the Year runner-up, said: “I had been told by others who had previously attended the College that it was a great place to study and learn about my trade and industry. The facilities and lecturers are really good and the lecturers especially, have all been great mentors and very helpful towards my learning. The facilities are perfect for a student to learn and grow their skills on their course.
“The course has benefited me as the College is not far from my home and I have been well looked after by everyone as the support you get from lecturers is perfect. The College will help me take my next steps in my career as it will help me get through the theory side of the apprenticeship and make sure I qualify.
“I would absolutely recommend the modern apprenticeship programme and the College as a whole to anyone thinking about applying in. I would also recommend the College as you are welcomed very well and all the lecturers are open to help you in any way.
“The best bit for me has been hearing about the stories and the experiences from lecturers that have worked in the same industry as I am learning about, and being able to learn what is to come in my future career.”
