Jade Scott (31) from Alva has enjoyed her BA Art and Design course at Forth Valley College.

She said: “I chose the campus due to locality and the large creative department they had. The facilities are great when it comes to computers for graphic design, photography editing software, print makers room and resources. The lecturers all have their own speciality and the range of these lecturers opens your mind to more creative ideas.

“Attending the College has given me a range of techniques to put towards my art as a photographer, and encouragement to push the norm of photography.

“I feel the College has benefited me as the experience in hanging pictures in exhibitions and curating will help me when I leave and want to work with other galleries.

“The photography course for HNC and HND gives you the basics and finer techniques to find your style. The lecturers are encouraging and feedback opens your mind to try new things. I chose the BA Art and Design after that to expand on experimenting on my photography, and it opened up other channels. I can still use the studios for portraits as well as working together with other creative minds, and this has helped and encouraged the creativity in me.

“The best bit for me has been meeting diverse lecturers and fellow students. I would recommend College as the Stirling Campus helps push you in the right direction and encourages you to be your best

“It has been a great experience in general and I now have memories I will cherish forever, especially all the encouragement and support I had, as well as a level of understanding of my need.”
