Ewan Stewart

Ewan Stewart (20) from Denny is a Carpentry and Joinery Modern Apprentice who works for Persimmon Homes West Scotland.

“My role as a joiner sees me involved in the construction of new-build homes. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience throughout the FVC apprenticeship programme and have gained a lot of experience, confidence and strengthened my skills.

“It has definitely helped me in my career. I have learned a lot throughout the course and strengthened my skills, but it also gave me the opportunity to try new things. The facilities were good and the lecturers were patient and friendly.

“I would definitely recommend the MA Programme and the College as it is a great opportunity to help with progression in careers. The best bit for me was being able to try new things and being encouraged to give things a go.

“The best advice I would give to anyone new, would be to focus, keep your head down and listen, so you get the most out of the course.”
