As a senior manager at the University of Strathclyde from 1989 to 2020, Lorna worked across a number of subject areas including Faculty Manager for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences from 2010 – 2020.

Lorna believes that education, nursery to Learning and Later Life, is a tool to improve opportunities for all.  In her FVC Board role, she is focussed on the student experience making a difference and resulting in positive employment outcomes. Good governance is an essential element to ensure that the policies and processes are robust and funding used effectively.

Lorna holds a BSc in Psychology and Zoology from the University of Glasgow, a PG Diploma in Business Information Technology Systems from the University of Strathclyde, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership in Higher Education from the University of Southampton.
