Kenny Joined Forth Valley College in 2007 as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering and has held several management posts within the College prior to becoming Principal in May 2023. Notably he held the posts of Head of Applied Science, Maths and Mechanical Engineering 2014-2018; Director of Engineering 2018-2019; Vice Principal of Learning and Student experience 2019-2023. Prior to joining Forth Valey College Kenny worked as an engineer and manager across Oil and Gas, Manufacturing and Aerospace industries and started as an apprentice mechanical fitter at the College’s predecessor: Falkirk College of Technology.

Kenny has been a member of the College’s Board since becoming Principal in 2023, but prior to this was a significant contributor to the Board and Committees through his previous role as Vice-Principal. Kenny is hugely passionate about the College having stated his career at the College which he has identified as transformational.

Kenny is a time-served apprentice in mechanical engineering and holds a BSc in Computer Aided Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University; a Post Graduate Teaching Qualification in Further Education and a MEd. in Leading Teaching and Learning, both from the University of Dundee; and a MSc. In Applied Social Research from the University of Stirling.
