As an employee at Forth Valley College since 2004, Jen has held various roles including HR Manager, Lecturer and Curriculum Manager. Since August 2024, she has been the Operations Manager for the Department of Care, Sport, Business, and Communities. Her career spans significant HR roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland and British Rail, supporting large-scale organisational changes.
Jen has been a dedicated member of the Board of Management since July 2019, re-elected in July 2023. She is passionate about Forth Valley College and takes her role seriously, advocating for both staff and learners. Jen believes in the co-dependency of staff and learners and strives to make decisions that benefit everyone. She is committed to conveying the perspective of the teaching community in a fair and considered manner.
Jen holds a Post Graduate Diploma in HR from Glasgow Caledonian University and is a Chartered Member of CIPD and has a Teaching Qualification in Further Education from the University of Dundee. Additionally, she has an SVQ Management Level 9, Assessor/Verifier and Health and Safety qualifications.
