STEM Welding Workshops for Schools
In collaboration with the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), we're excited to bring local schools an innovative and hands-on STEM experience: the Virtual Reality Welding Simulator.
Delivered by our dedicated STEM Engagement Team, this hands-on workshop introduces students to the world of welding through cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) simulators. Pupils will gain real-world engineering skills in a safe, fun, and engaging format - designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire future careers.
Why take part?
Interactive STEM workshops led by industry experts
Competitions and awards to celebrate student achievement
Career inspiration for pupils at a critical stage in their development
Support for inclusive growth and addressing skills shortages across the Central Belt
This initiative also supports Scotland’s Net Zero transition by encouraging more young people, particularly females, to explore careers in welding and engineering.
