Energy Efficiency National Transition Training Fund (NTTF)

Supported by the Scottish Funding Council and the Scottish Government, the NTTF funding is aimed at people aged 25 or over who are either facing redundancy or who are unemployed having been made redundant.

This fund is focused on upskilling tradespeople and helping individuals move into roles with potential for future growth and job retention.

We currently have two opportunities as part of the NTTF funding.

18th Edition Electrical 

The 18th Edition course is essential for all electricians working in the UK and training is highly recommended to ensure that all installers have a thorough understanding of the new regulations. The 18th Edition is also one of the most recognised qualifications by employers.

IOSH Managing Safely 

This course is aimed at anyone who wants to learn the basics of health and safety.  The course provides training in assessing risks, controlling risks, understanding responsibilities, understanding hazards and investigating incidents.

Am I eligible?

Before applying:

  • Resident in Scotland
  • 25 years or over
  • Become unemployed since 1 March 2020

 

 

 

  • You have been notified that you are at risk of redundancy
  • At risk of unemployment e.g. furloughed 
  • For some courses there are academic pre-course requirements.

FAQ's

Scottish Government via Scottish Funding Council.

If you are currently under threat of redundancy, or have been made redundant at any time from the 1st March 2020 and are aged 25 or over, you can access an industry recognised qualification to help you gain employment.

 

  • Birth Certificate or other proof of age.
  • Certificates to show any pre-course academic requirements have been met.
  • Furlough letter.
  • Redundancy letter.
  • Any other evidence that employment is at risk e.g. letter from employer.
  • Evidence from Job Centre.

All training needs to be completed by 31 July 2021

Not directly from the scheme but if you are unemployed you should raise this with the Job Centre.
