Due to COVID-19, we have a blended approach to learning for session 20/21. This may include face-to-face learning in the classroom, remote learning off-campus and digital learning.
Yes, the number of students in each classroom has been reduced to comply with physical distancing requirements. Depending on the campus, this ranges from 6 to 11 students per room. Students are timetabled to specific classrooms, where possible, to minimise movement around campus.
Students should only be on-campus for timetabled classes/essential college work they cannot do remotely.
If you have anxieties about the current situation and feel you would benefit from additional wellbeing support – please drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact email@example.com
Forth Valley College students can also access Togetherall– an online service for people who are feeling anxious or stressed, which also has good advice for keeping healthy both physically and mentally. Students can access the free service by visiting togetherall.com and registering using their college email address. There is lots of advice and guidance and there are also forums available 24/7 where other members can offer support overseen by trained professionals.
The Scottish Government have provided new guidance on the requirement for face coverings whilst on campus and this will take effect immediately. This applies to all colleges and universities across Scotland.
Unless you are exempt, you are advised as outlined in the Scottish Government Guidelines to wear a face covering when you are on campus.
Face coverings should only be removed when you are seated in a classroom, other teaching environments, workrooms or within our canteens unless otherwise advised.
Anyone with symptoms should not attend College and contact the NHS to follow their test and protect procedure. Please log your absence via myinfo as normal.
We are currently working with our industry partners to agree on our approach to work placements.
