HNC Police Studies students visited Tulliallan Police College recently to swat up on what it’s like on the Police Scotland Probationer training programme.
A group of twenty schools students from Larbert and Graeme High Schools shadowed recruits who were undertaking their 11 week training, with an opportunity to observe practical sessions including Officer Safety training.
The students - who attend Forth Valley College two afternoons per week and are currently learning about the Scottish Legal System and Sociology – enjoyed their trip as gave a live perspective to their studies.
Care, Health and Sport, Curriculum Manager Nicola McArthur, said: “This is a new course that only started in August 2016. It will certainly give them a good grounding of what it takes to be a police officer – though completing the course does not guarantee they will be accepted into the force - and they all seemed to love the visit. Watch out Forth Valley for the recruits of the future!”
