Forth Valley College’s Falkirk Campus was the venue for the first quarterly regional meeting of The Universities Caterers Organisation (TUCO) on Thursday 12 May - the first face to face event held by TUCO since the pandemic.
TUCO is the leading professional membership body for in-house caterers operating in the higher, further education and public sector. They work alongside Universities and Colleges on Procurement Frameworks, Training Academies and Sustainability Initiatives.
Present on the day were Ian Macaulay (Chair) from Edinburgh University, Louise Levens and Andy Anderson from APUC, Iain Calder and Gareth Davies from Forth Valley College, Judith Hoyle and Nicola Mellor from TUCO, Sarah McLoughlin from the TUCO Academy, Elaine Hutton from Ayrshire College, David Kerr and Graham Paterson from Strathclyde University, Calum MacLachlan from Aberdeen University and Steven McKay and Alan Riddell from St Andrews University
Iain Calder, FVC’s Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) Co-ordinator, said: “We were delighted to host the recent TUCO meeting and it was great to get together face-to-face for the first time since the pandemic. It was a good productive meeting and we gave those attending an extensive tour of the Campus and we are now looking forward to the next one.”
