Signpost Recovery service users will have a little more festive cheer this year thanks to a large donation from Forth Valley Student Association.
A special Christmas gift appeal held over the last few weeks saw students donate food, toiletries and toys for the worthy cause. Signpost Recovery aim to advance the health and relief of those suffering ill health, having a disability, undergoing financial hardship or other disadvantage, by providing community access to drug, alcohol, substance misuse and health and social care services in the Forth Valley area.
Diane Cairns Signpost Recovery Team Leader, liaised with Forth Valley Student Association on the initiative, but her colleague Katrina McNicol (pictured back left) was on hand to thank the FV SA when they visited the charity’s Alloa base to deliver the goods.
A group of Stirling based ACE students and their lecturer Elaine Cuthill also helped towards this good cause by wrapping up to 40 large fruit boxes in Christmas wrapping paper. These boxes will be used as Christmas hampers that will be filled with donations and given to families and single people who are in most need across Forth Valley.
