A Forth Valley College Modern Apprentice (MA) has won a prestigious regional plumbing award, at a prize giving ceremony held at Borders College on Thursday 6 October.
Third year MA Steven Christie (26) from Stirling, who works for James Paterson Plumbing and Heating Ltd in Denny was presented with the Scottish and Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers’ Federation (SNIPEF) Edinburgh and District Region David A More Trophy for being the best MA in the area.
Danny Houston, Curriculum Manager in FVC’s Department of Construction, said: “Steven was recognised for his significant achievements in his coursework and his commitment to learning. His lecturers say he has made a great effort throughout his course and shows himself to be a positive mentor in Plumbing. We are all very proud of him and his achievement will be an inspiration to his peers at the College.”
