A tasty team from Forth Valley College are sharpening their skills to take part in the UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year competition.
Chef Lecturer Martin Luti and students Stacey McCormack (19) an HND Hospitality Management student from Stenhousemuir, Connor Stewart (19) an HNC Professional Cookery student from Stirling and Nicole Gray (17) a Level 3 Professional Cookery student from Bo’ness, will be competing in the final in Sheffield on Tuesday 5 July and will also be able to attend the Skills for Chefs Conference on Friday 8 July.
Martin, Stacey and Connor all competed in last year’s event and are determined to do even better than last year when they finished third.
Connor, said:
“I am really looking forward to it. Cooking in competition is scary, but fantastic at the same time.”
Stacey added:
“Hopefully the experience we gained from last year’s event will give us an idea of what to expect and we can do better than third. It is an amazing event and I am looking forward to going again.”
Martin said:
“We are really looking forward to take part in the final of this prestigious event. It is a fantastic opportunity for the students to show what they can do and we can’t wait.”
