Student chefs from Forth Valley College served up success at this year’s ScotHot food, drink, hospitality and tourism trade show which took place at the SECC in Glasgow (15-16 March).

Dawid Romanyuk(19) won the Napkin Folding Competition with a Silver 1st and Patrick Romanyuk (19) won Bronze in the same category. Ryan McAteer (21) won Silver in the Prawn Challenge and Fish Filleting and Brandon Little (17) also won Silver in Fish Filleting. Emma Hair (19) was placed Silver in the Innovative Pasta category and Robyn McKnight (17) did well in both the Fish Filleting and Prepare chicken for saute categories.

Chef lecturer Martin Luti who along with Hospitality Lecturer Michal Tomaszewski and Chef Trainer Ruari Chatburn, led the FVC ScotHot delegation to the event, said: “I am very proud of the way the students conducted themselves. They were very nervous before stepping onto the stage, but their confidence grew when they got underway and they enjoyed the experience. To top it off by coming home with all these medals and certificates really is the icing on the cake.”
