Forth Valley College have appointed Sarah Higgins-Rollo as the new Vice Principal Learning and Student Experience.
The current Director of Curriculum for the Department of Care, Sport, Business and Communities, will fill the position left by Kenny MacInnes who will take over as the College’s new Principal and Chief Executive on Monday 1 May.
Sarah started as a Lecturer in Social Science at Forth Valley College in 2005 and became a Curriculum Manager for the then Department of Care, Health and Sport in 2012. She was officially named as Director of Curriculum for the Department of Care Sport and Construction in November 2021 and then took on the same lead role for the Department of Care, Sport, Business and Communities a year later.
Boasting a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Sociology, an MSc Psychology and Health, as well as TQFE Post Graduate and CMI Strategic Leadership qualifications, Sarah has also worked closely with Education Scotland since 2012 and has been the College lead on working with Historic Environment Scotland and the Forth Valley University NHS Partnership.
Sarah said: “I am delighted accept this new role as Vice Principal for Learning and Student Experience and am really looking forward to this new and exciting challenge. I have been at the College for more than 18 years, have invested a lot of time and effort into my journey and can’t wait to take this next step at this incredible College.
“I know the current climate and issues we all face are challenging, but we have a very strong team and fantastic staff and I know we will take the opportunities that arise, to make Forth Valley College an even better place to work and learn.”
