Facilities Team Leader Stevie Mabbott hopes to complete the Marcothon 31 day 5K challenge , running at least this distance every day through December – including Christmas Day!

Stevie, said:

“I am doing this as a bit of fun and a personal challenge! I am aiming to do all of the running outside and I might even sometimes exceed the 5K distance.”

Wai Mun Lee, FVC’s Leisure Facilities Coordinator, said:

“Steve is an inspiration to us all. From being a regular smoker and a person that had no interest towards fitness at all, he is now a changed man. He no longer smokes and has basically smashed the fitness phobia out of the park!

“It has been a long journey spanning more than five years. During the first year of joining our Falkirk Campus gym Stevie dabbled with exercise, but the following four years since then, there’s been no looking back. He just loves lots of circuits,  punching /mitts workouts, PT sessions, resistance and good old cardio training. He has tried them all and conquered all that was thrown at him.  It’s great to see Stevie setting himself new challenges and the best thing about these challenges is that he’s doing it for fun.  Well done Stevie from the Gym Team for all that you have achieved.  You are an inspiration and we hope your success rubs off to all the employees of Forth Valley College.”
