Students celebrate exam success

Students at Forth Valley College celebrated receiving their National and Higher qualification results on Tuesday 9 August with an impressive 77% achieving success.

A total of 263 students were entered for exams in 16 different subjects at varying levels – including five Highers – and 202 passed.

As always, results day highlighted the wide range of exciting learning opportunities available at Forth Valley College and provided an opportunity to promote the wide variety of pathways to success.

Professor Ken Thomson OBE, Principal of Forth Valley College, said: “We are very proud of our National and Higher qualification students, who once again have achieved very positive results.  Each year, results day demonstrates how success can be achieved in many different ways.

“We would like to congratulate all those who are celebrating today and wish them all the best for the next stage of their learning journey.  For those who haven’t made a decision about what they would like to do next, we would also like to highlight that we still have limited places available for courses starting in August and we’d be happy to discuss their options with them.

“We would also encourage students to get in touch for advice if they didn’t receive the results they had hoped for.  We have a wide range of support available at the College and would like to reassure these students that there is no one path to success.”
