Forth Valley College Sports Section has enhanced an already positive working relationship with Puregym in Stirling, after a recruitment initiative held at the Falkirk Campus on Thursday 27 October.

This exciting new working relationship will give FVC HND Health Fitness and Exercise second year students the opportunity to attend an interview for job opportunities with the Stirling Puregym branch. Although this contact has been established, the students have already been involved in a number of opportunities where they had experience of what to expect in the industry, the various teaching practises available and also took part in work experience. It is hoped this will allow them to confidently apply for employment within the fitness industry.

The delivering staff involved included: Wai Mun lee, Michelle Hamilton, Grant Raslton and Alan Clinch – all vastly experienced professionals within the sector, who have proved to have made a positive impact on the students’ learning experience.

Wai Mun Lee, FVC’s Leisure Facilities Coordinator, said: “Job opportunities can be scarce for any students completing their final years of study, but with this working relationship with Andrew Fulton the Puregym Stirling branch manager, we can safely say that our HND Health Fitness and Exercise second year students’ chances of finding a job - within the fitness industry -  has just dramatically improved. Good luck to our students and thanks to Andrew for giving them the opportunity.”
