Some green-fingered Pathfinder students got their hands dirty planting marigolds in Falkirk recently.

In partnership with SDS Forth Valley, the students - Alisar Ahmad Abdallah (19) and Rhys Penman (18) - were given the opportunity during their LDW class time to try out Micro Volunteering, which took the form of planting Marigolds in the Falkirk Community Garden as part of the DIG in Falkirk initiative.

Jane Malcolm, FVC Learner Development Worker, said: “Both Alisar and Rhys worked amazingly well together problem solving where the best place in the community garden was to write the word DIG in Marigolds. Thanks to Vicki at Forth Environment Link, Falkirk for hosting us and giving us a chance to try something new.”
