NHS offer advice on womens' health
NHS Awareness stall

NHS Forth valley raised awareness of womens’ health and the campaign against period poverty with an information stall at the Forth Valley College Falkirk Campus recently.

Health Development Nurse Fiona McKenzie was on hand to give out advice and information at the Campus reception.

Pauline Donadson, FVC’s Soft Services and Sustainability Coordinator, said: “We were delighted to welcome Fiona along to give valuable advice to our students and we hope she will visit us again soon.”

Forth Valley College’s free female sanitary product initiative has received support from local a local MSP.

Scottish Labour’s Monica Lennon visited the Falkirk Campus on Thursday 23 August to personally back the programme which will see two distribution points and vending machines provide female students with free sanitary products at each FVC Campus. Ms Lennon had previously visited FVC’s Stirling Campus earlier in the year to highlight the same initiative.

There was more good news on Friday August 24 2018 when the Scottish Funding Council announced that FVC will receive £51,368 to help fund this initiative.
