‘Move it Mondays’ – a new free cycling and walking advice service for staff and students – is coming to Forth Valley College’s Alloa Campus.
Starting on Monday 30 September the new pop-up service will be run by Holly Hunter from Forth Environment Link, but will be supported by Heather Davis, FVC’s new campus cycling officer.
It will run from 9am-3pm and will provide information on route planning and general cycling advice, followed by an essential cycling skills session that will run from 3pm-4pm.
Heather, said: “Free bike maintenance will also be offered to those who need it. Staff or students looking to attend the essential cycling skills can bring their own bike or contact myself on heather.davis@forthvalley.ac.uk , to use one of the pool bikes that we have.
“The essential cycling skills are ideal for complete beginners or those who want to gain confidence. There will also be the opportunity to go on led-rides from the Alloa Campus, which we will look to implement after the essential cycling skills programme.”
