Leg wax fundraiser goes smoothly for students
Leg Wax at Falkirk

A brave NC Administration student was happy to have strips torn off him recently all in the aid of a good cause.

Aaron Bumstead (18) from Camelon, took the plunge and agreed to have his legs waxed to raise funds for the Sepsis Research charity FEAT on Friday 25 October.

NC Beauty Care students, Pamela Doudie (30) from Brightons and Danielle Linton (27) from Falkirk, based at the FVC Falkirk Campus were happy to help and were delighted to have the opportunity to help their fellow students reach their target.

Dana Johnstone (30) from Bo’ness, who is part of a group of six NC Administration students raising money as part of their Event Organisation section of their course, said: “I lost my wee cousin in March to Sepsis, so raising money for this worthy cause was close to my heart and why we chose this charity.

“We set out to raise a target of £500 and we are currently on the £800 mark and we still have a sponsored cycle and another event to go in the college. It’s all for a great cause and we can’t thank the Beauty Care students enough for helping us.”

Wendy gentles, FVC Beauty Therapy lecturer, said: “this was a great experience for our students and for a good cause. A lot more men are getting waxed these days, so it was a valuable exercise for them.”
