Forth Valley College’s Student Association organised Healthy Body Healthy Mind events across all campuses this week (Alloa Tuesday 29 March, Stirling Wednesday 30 March, Falkirk Thursday 31 March).
The events were packed full of activities and information stalls to promote health and wellbeing including Wolanski’s Pole and Aerial Fitness, Martial Arts Fitness, advice on alcohol and sexual health, beauty therapy and fitness demonstrations by students, and an FVC learning support stall which gave advice on everything from stress management to basic IT.
The British Army’s 71 Engineering Regiment were also there to offer advice on military careers and students from the NC Working with Communities manned a stall called Handbags and Gladrags which aims to provide female prisoners with a handbag filled with personal hygiene products upon their release from prison.
