A grant of more than £23,000 from Education Scotland will help Forth Valley College to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects in local schools.
The Enhancing Professional Learning in STEM grants programme has awarded the college £23,456.89 to be used in 2019 and will further enhance FVC’s already growing reputation of organising school workshops to inspire youngsters.
Kenny MacInnes, FVC’s Director of Engineering and Science, said: “We are delighted to have received this grant which will allow the College to continue to promote and deliver STEM subjects across Forth Valley in conjunction with our school partners. This grant will ensure we maintain our STEM momentum in achieving equity in all STEM subjects, excellence in our delivery, inspiring the next generation of engineers and scientists and making sure we connect young people with the correct pathways and opportunities to achieve meaningful careers.”
