Forth Valley College’s decade long dedication to a Healthy Working Lives ‘Get in Shape’ plan has resulted in the retention of their Gold Award status.
This is the fourth time the status has been renewed at the college which attained the Gold Award in 2015.
A review by officials from The HWL National Award Team who assessed the annual evidence report recently, have told Wai Mun Lee, FVC Leisure Facilities Co-ordinator and Conroy Hunter FVC’s Health and Safety Co-ordinator - who both share the lead role in driving the delivery of the worthy initiative – that the status will be renewed for another year.
Wai, said: “It is great news to have our status renewed again. Conroy and I would like to thank everyone who was involved in assisting with the whole Healthy Working Lives delivery from day one – including Fiona Duff who previously held Conroy’s role - and especially all the positive work that all staff are currently doing to date in making our organization a vibrant and healthy culture
“In achieving and retaining the Gold Award it demonstrates how strong our ongoing commitment is to improving the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees. Our emphasis is certainly on this new culture which our employees are embracing and adopting to help take Forth Valley College through all the new challenges our organisation faces year on year.
Conroy added: “It was great to work with Wai on this project, his knowledge and experience made the retention of the award a lot easier. I am also very pleased for the college to have retained this standard as it emphasises our aim in continually developing the health and wellbeing of our employees.”
