Forth Valley College were delighted once again to sponsor one of the main races at the prestigious Alva Highland Games recently.
Held at the town’s Cochrane Park on Saturday 8 July, the event celebrated its 161st year in bright sunshine. As it has done for a number of years now – from the time of Clackmannanshire College – FVC were delighted to continue its sponsorship association with the event by championing the 3,200m event.
Zak Stark FVC’s Student Services Manager, was on hand to present winner Scott McDonald from Stirling with his victory shield and congratulate runners-up Tyler White from Aberdeen and Rebekah Burns from Edinburgh for their great performances.
Zak, said: “At Forth Valley College we love to celebrate success and recognise hard work, effort and achievement and I was delighted to present this year’s winning shield to Scott who showed all these attributes to win a hard fought race. We are delighted to be associated with the Alva Highland Games and look forward to continue to sponsor this race in the future.”
