High school pupils were introduced to robot technology by Forth Valley College’s Computing lecturers and students recently at a special event held in the Falkirk Campus.
Pupils from Bo’ness Academy, Braes, Larbert, St Mungo’s, Falkirk, Grangemouth and Graeme High took part in various research, programming and testing workshops on Thursday 21 June.
Vivien Gallacher, Curriculum Manager in the Department of Creative Industries responsible for the Computing section, said: “It was great to see so many enthusiastic secondary school pupils come along to the Falkirk Campus and find out more about robotics and computing.
“In the Robotics subject area, it was three students who led the delivery. NC Computing with Cyber Security students Aaron Bell, Andrew Smirthwaite and Scott Towell had the passion and expertise to showcase their skills as part of their coursework and they did a fantastic job.”
